Empathy. Solutions. Transmission.
I work in propaganda. That's the light-hearted way of saying I get a kick out of problem-solving and working toward persuasive ways of communicating important things to people. From corporate communication to promoting critical causes, with experience spanning: research & insight; brand development; positioning; marcom; editorial; storytelling; visual/content/UX/service design and audience journey.
Ethnography and understanding people is an essential part of my skillset, and passing along strong messages is at the heart of everything I do. Amongst other things, I have special insight to the UK and APAC regions, and things like CSR and brand activism. I am currently brushing-up on visual journalism, storytelling with data, and research techniques. I place high value on inclusivity, and audience-centred design thinking - just as vital as the spark.
My experience covers time-served in corporate and high-end marcom environments, education, NPO's, service and F&B sectors. Some people I have worked on projects for include: Greenpeace, McGraw-Hill, National Geographic Learning, Wanda Group, BlackRock, K11, ENABLE Scotland, SCVO, UNESCO, amongst other entities great and small. Depending on the day, and how you look at things, we are either part of the problem, or part of the solution... I've played for the blues, and the reds.
This site is largely a digital scrapbook of things I find interesting, personal graphic, and more left-field projects. For more formal show and tell, please send some words and I can share appropriate links.
