COMMUNICATION. GRAPHIC TRANSMISSION. MESSAGE.
Based now back home in Scotland after a good many moons in other places. Involved with words and pictures.
I work in propaganda. This includes things like: brand development, positioning, insight, corporate/commercial communication, editorial, creative direction, storytelling, visual/product/service design and audience journey... From marketing skyscrapers, to critical causes.
Ethnography and understanding people is an essential part of my background, and passing along strong messages is at the heart of everything I do. Amongst other things, I have special insight to the APAC region, and things like CSR and brand activism. I am currently self-studying and brushing-up on visual journalism, data visualisation and interaction design through the Interaction Design Foundation and the European Journalism Centre. I place high value on inclusivity, and audience-centred design thinking - just as vital as the spark.
My experience covers time-served in corporate and high-end marcom environments, education, NPO's, service and F&B sectors. Some people I have worked on projects for include: Greenpeace, McGraw-Hill, National Geographic Learning, Wanda Group, BlackRock, K11, ENABLE Scotland, SCVO, UNESCO, amongst other entities great and small. Depending on the day, and how you look at things, we are either part of the problem, or part of the solution... I've played for the blues, and the reds.
This site is largely home to personal and more left-field graphic projects. For more formal/commercial show and tell, please send some words... or pictures, and I can share appropriate links.
